When the communal harmony and peace in the coastal areas of the district where under severe threat from the communal forces; the forces of darkness, DYFI could not resist the call of innocent peace loving people. We organized district wide peace march in white uniform carrying our white flag. Our initiation was widely acclaimed and people in large participated giving warning to anti-social elements. We roughly estimate that more than 10,000 people participated in the whole movement.

This we consider as a major contribution from our part to bring back peace and harmony in the sensitive areas.

More over we constituted a house to house campaign distributing leaflets propagating the necessity of keeping up unity and harmony.

Among 155 Village Committees, more than 100 committees have their own blood donor’s forum in which more than 12,000 members registered.

As a youth organization DYFI gives high importance to Sports, arts and culture. Village Committees organizes cultural, arts and sports activities regularly.

The Cheguvera football tournament conducted by Arecode Village Committee every year in a well appreciated manner.

The passport office of Malappuram stands first in Issuing more number of passports in India. When many complaints about corrupt practices came to notice DYFI District Committee conducted a Passport Office March, which was a warning to whomever concerned. More than 2000 activists participated in this march.
